Golf Jarvi (the "app") is a voice-first AI golf caddy operated by Jarvis Golf ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. By using the app you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Account — your email and name, and (if you use them) the identifier from Sign in with Apple or Google. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes.
Location — your GPS position while you use the app, including in the background during a round, to show distances to the pin, track shots, and fetch on-course conditions.
Microphone & speech — when you talk to the caddy, your speech is transcribed (on-device where supported) and the resulting text is sent to our AI provider to generate a reply. We don't record or store raw audio for advertising.
Camera & photos — short videos you record or choose for swing and putting analysis. Frames are sent to our AI provider for coaching and are not used for any other purpose.
Gameplay data — courses, rounds, scores, shots, your club distances ("bag"), and derived stats, so the caddy can keep score and personalize advice.
Purchases — your subscription status, verified through Apple or Google. We never receive your card or full payment details.
Diagnostics — basic technical logs needed to run and debug the service.

How we use it

To provide the caddy, scorekeeping, GPS distances, swing/putting coaching, conditions, and multiplayer features.
To personalize club and strategy advice using your bag and play history.
To process and verify your subscription, and to keep the app working and secure.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share the minimum needed with service providers acting on our behalf:

Anthropic (Claude) — receives your voice transcripts and swing/putting video frames to generate caddy replies and coaching.
Apple & Google — sign-in verification and subscription processing.
OpenWeatherMap — your coarse location to return wind/temperature (when enabled).
ElevenLabs — the text of Jarvi's reply to synthesize a natural voice (optional; otherwise your device's built-in voice is used).
Our hosting & database provider — to store your account and gameplay data.

"Bragging credits"

In-app match wagers use virtual bragging credits. They are for fun only, have no monetary value, are never purchased, and are never real money or gambling.

Data retention & security

We keep your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. We use industry-standard measures (encrypted transport, hashed passwords, access controls) to protect it.

Your choices & rights

You control microphone, location, camera, and photo permissions in your device settings.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting us.
To delete your account and associated data, contact us at the email below.

Children

Golf Jarvi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; we'll revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
